My objectives unfold a little bit differently from what I have planned in my personal OKR for Q1. But I guess, because I know what my goals look like, I recognised when aligned opportunities come my way.
The first objective is around wanting to hang out more with my peers, fellow C-levels in tech. I arranged a once-a-month coworking session at a coworking space in Brisbane (I usually work from home) and will invite my friends who are Founders or Community Leaders.

At one point, Fei invited me to her AI Book Club WhatsApp group (WAICC), a group of women in Data & AI, reading one AI book a month. I’ve been hanging out with them at a couple of meetups. Gain both friendship, bonded by the love of books and AI, and also support from each other.

I’ve also joined the Exit Five community (even won their first marketing challenge of the year), full of marketing leaders, and connected 1-on-1 with one from Australia, who has taught me a lot about demand generation.
With Her Tech Circle (HTC), I’ve travelled to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane to lead an AI-Powered Personal Brand workshop. That’s not only allowed me to do what I love (tinkering with AI) but also helped me connect with like-minded women in technology across Australia. I’ve met and bonded with HTC Volunteers from Melbourne and Sydney, recruited new volunteers for HTC Brisbane, and they’re awesome. This has continued to strengthen the circle and support for the community.

The things I’ve missed and will bring to Q2 are writing long-form articles and showcasing my experiments in AI for lead conversion, sales, and marketing.
I’ve ‘accidentally’ became the most cited by ChatGPT on the keyword ‘Top women in AI in sales and marketing in Brisbane’, but as I’ve changed my main keywords more toward ‘AI Lead Conversion’, this will also shift based on my focus.
The way we show up online matters. That’s why I moved my website to WordPress.com and will start to blog again. AI LLMs rely heavily on website sources for their knowledge. So you should start filling them in with the information you want them to have, rather than being at the mercy of other media or of how others would portray you.
I set 2026 as the year of breakthrough for me. I found a breakthrough at my work with MagicBlocks. We’ve successfully tweaked our SEO and AEO, built our blog from scratch and can attract the right companies in the right industry to check our website, chat with our AI sales agent, and take some actions. Traffic from Google and LLMs has increased by 1000%. This has helped tremendously in sending us organic inbound leads.
My new ergonomic home office setup (thanks to my husband) has also helped me to be more productive. I don’t know that I’ll love a big monitor so much and that it can helped me increase my productivity.

One of my objectives is to lose weight, but it turned out to be the least of my worries. My IVF is in full swing. We had another egg retrieval cycle and 2 transfer cycles. I’ll share the details in another post. My hormones, body, and stress level are all over the place. Plus, I had several health scares, like lips twitching for a week because of stress, lol, and something annoying like plantar fasciitis that has made me buy 3 podiatrist-approved Skechers, and fake high blood pressure that has pushed us to get our first blood pressure monitor. I also received a not-so-pleasant diagnosis about my uterus that needs months of treatment before we can continue with transfer cycles. But overall, we’re in high spirits, confident we will overcome all this and come out of it as an expanded family.
My weekend project, a novel-writing project for a client has been going well. We’re at chapter 9 with over 100,000 words, which is wild. It’s just wonderful to dive deep into the story and realise the vision in reality. It has made me realise the power of stories and think of what kind of life you want to lead and share with the next generation.
Other small breakthroughs:
- Finally able to use our pressure cooker/slow cooker to cook oxtail and slow cook ribs for 8 hours that has made the meat fell apart on your fork
- My hair is getting stronger and grow longer thanks to Ryo (Korean shampoo) and Unichi hair boost gummy
- At work, I understand now how to bridge marketing to sales, set up the flow in Hubspot and create reports. Thanks to stellar customer service team at Hubspot who’ve been answering all my questions with utmost details.
